Job Description:
Shift(s) Description: 4 10-12 hour days/week if assigned to OR & 3 12-13 hour shift if assigned to ICU (ICU includes overnights in house)
Weekend Requirements: 1 weekend per month (on call from 6p Friday to 6a Monday)
On Call Requirements: Surgical call from 6P-6A 1-2 days per week.
Schedule:
- Length of coverage: 3-6 months
- The candidate will work four 10-12 hour days per week if assigned to the OR and three 12-13 hour shifts if assigned to the ICU.
- The ICU does include overnights in house.
- The provider will have a 1 in 4 or 5 weekend responsibility. (On call from 6p Friday to 6a Monday)
- Surgical call responsibility: 1-2 weekdays per week from 6P-6A.
- Provider must be able to act independently in the OR, harvest veins, and operate in a high acuity ICU setting.
Details:
- Volume of Cardiac Surgery Division: 7 adult surgeons and 32 APPs; 1,600 pump cases are handled per year; Perform all cardiac surgery procedures except transplant
- Candidate working at one/multiple locations/settings: one location only
- Number of residents/fellows: None

- Board Certified (Must have Acute Care Certification) - REQUIRED
- Active ME License or Active IMLC - REQUIRED

- Can work independently in a high acuity ICU setting - REQUIRED
