Lead Biomed Repair Technician

Med One Group, a leader in the medical equipment finance industry for over 30 years, is seeking a Lead Biomed Repair Technician to join our team of experts assembling, maintaining, and repairing various pieces medical equipment at our Sandy, UT location. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday from 8:00am ? 5:00pm.
Essential Functions
- Tests the functionality of equipment and takes accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity measurements for all equipment in the Med One warehouse.
- Manage the Biomed department, ensuring that team members meet performance standards, and handle workload distribution and resource management.
- Oversee the entire customer depot repair process, including intake, assessment, repair, and return, ensuring repairs meet Med One?s quality and efficiency standards.
- Managing Biomed staff at your location, including, oversee the timecards, this including PTO & Pay Period approvals, performing quarterly evaluations, etc.
- Must be quick and efficient in assembling, cleaning, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining various pieces of medical equipment.
- Oversee accurate invoicing and cost recovery for repairs caused by customer damage, including fees for parts, labor, and any additional charges related to customer damages or lost accessories.
- Able to complete courses and certifications suggested by supervisor to ensure competency and expertise in servicing of equipment.
- Working in a team oriented, hardworking, and supportive atmosphere where everyone works hard to complete work assignments.
- Ability to assist with delivering and/or shipment of medical equipment to a hospital as additional support when needed.
- Assist hospitals onsite with setup, troubleshooting, and diagnosis for medical equipment.
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required based on workload.
- Interface with hospital systems and other customers as needed.
Job Requirements
- 6 years repairing/working with medical equipment; specifically, infusion pumps, patient monitors, ventilators, hospital/bariatric beds.
- 4-5 years? experience of managing or leading a team, preferably a Biomedical team.
- Experience with timecard approvals and managing PTO Requests
- Able to read schematics and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

- Dependable and highly self-motivated
- Associates degree in electronics
