Med-Scribe is seeking detail-oriented and knowledgeable professionals to join a dynamic team specializing in processing appeals for medical claims for a 9-12 month temporary position. These roles play a crucial part in ensuring fair and timely resolutions within the intersection of insurance, law and healthcare. Enjoy the flexibility of working 100% remotely from the comfort of your own home – Equipment will be provided!
Ideal Background/Experience:
- Healthcare law, arbitration, mediation, dispute resolution, or claims adjudication in healthcare
Key Responsibilities:
- Review disputes between healthcare providers and health plans, making fair payment determinations based on all relevant documents.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex appeals and hearings, providing clear and accurate resolutions.
- Evaluate data to ensure compliance with regulations or make necessary exceptions when applicable.
- Use case processing systems to document all dispute steps and findings, ensuring clear communication with all parties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Hours:
- Full-Time: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
- Training: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM for the first 2-3 weeks
Salary: $25.00/hr

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Law degree, paralegal certification, or registered nurse credential strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payment determinations preferred. Certifications may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with federal healthcare regulations.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in following established processes and procedures.
