We are seeking to hire experienced full time, part-time and per diem Dialysis Nurses to provide quality care to patients in need of dialysis treatment. Dialysis Nurse rates commensurate with experience. Dialysis is done Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Dialysis Nurse's responsibilities include ensuring that hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments are administered to patients correctly, working with the dialysis technicians, and evaluating patients' lab results and answering patients' questions regarding dialysis treatments. The dialysis nurse should also ensure that the dialysis machines and equipment are in good working order. The position involves direct patient care for a population of patients between the ages of 18 and older. Age specific experience and / or special training and / or expertise is required to serve this population.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least one (1) year of hemodialysis experience preferred.
NJ State license to practice nursing.
Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC).
Proven experience working as a dialysis nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) from American Red Cross or American Heart Association within two months of hire.
The ability to operate dialysis machines.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and observation skills.
Age specific experience and / or special training and / or expertise is required to serve this population
