Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a traveler (13-week contract) in the Lakewood Area!
MUST HAVE INPATIENT CLINICAL PHARMACY EXPERIENCE IN WORK HISTORY...
Inpatient adults only
Can see peds in the ER
54 med/surg/tele beds
10 ICU
OR/SDS
radiology/IR
ER
Years of Experience Required: 2 years
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Shift Times: Days could be 7a-330p or 8a-430p
Eves are 2:30p-11p As it’s mostly for chemo
8a-430p is the most common shift, but they need candidates to be flexible to work eves if needed
Weekend Requirement: Potentially cover weekends if coverage is needed
Holiday Requirement: Per unit need
First-Time Traveler Accepted: Yes
Block scheduling? No
Certifications Required? PharmD, RPh, NJ state license required
Will the traveler float? No
Call required? No
Patient Mix/Skillset: The inpatient pharmacy supports our outpatient infusion department (chemotherapy and non-chemo infusions) as well as inpatient/ER
Role must be chemo-certified and able to compound hazardous and non-hazardous medication
Specific Equipment? Pyxis experience required, PharmacyOneSource experience preferred
Charting System: Epic experience required

Responsibilities
- Read and review incoming prescriptions for accuracy, suitability to patient, and potential interactions
- Provide information to patients on side effects, dosage, specific storage needs, and interactions with other medications
- Maintain excellent patient records and pharmacy files
- Conduct regular inventory and maintain proper standards for accepting new inventory and categorizing it appropriately
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
Qualifications
- Must hold a current state pharmacist license
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed
Salary : $2,625
