Job Summary
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team! This is 13-week travel contract Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) in the Montclair area. As a Respiratory Therapist on the team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients undergoing many different procedures and medical situations and making recommendations for an appropriate respiratory treatment plan. You may also provide respiratory care to medically fragile or complex patients, insert or remove endotracheal tubes, and work closely with the patient and their family to ensure they understand what is happening every step of the way. The ideal candidate has a patient, kind attitude with excellent bedside manner, a deep understanding of patient needs, and a strong grasp on respiratory regulations and best practices.
Shift details: 3x12 Nights
Weekend coverage every 3rd and 3 on call shifts per schedule for staffing callouts
Minimum 1 year experience

ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Meet with and evaluate a variety of patients
- Make recommendations on respiratory care based on their specific needs and situations
- Perform basic respiratory care, including inserting and removing tubes, adjusting machines, and more
- Work with both the family and the patient to ensure their needs are being met, and they understand what is happening.
Qualifications
- Active credentials from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state board equivalent required
- State licensure required
- Deep understanding of respiratory care, patient care, and best patient practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
