We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Nurse to join our team of air transportation experts at Med-Trans Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as scene call work.
Job Summary
This is a critical care position that requires the ability to assess each situation and determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations. The ideal candidate will have three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN, with current licensure in the states served by the assigned area.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
- Critical Thinking: Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
- Aircraft Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, with regular equipment and base checks, and compliance with safety standards and briefings.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
- Documentation: Share shift change information with transitioning teams and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
Qualifications
- Experience: Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
- Licensure: Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
- Certifications: EMT Certification in state(s) where required, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Trauma Certification where required.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
