Join our dedicated team as an Air Transport Paramedic and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care during air transport. You will work closely with air transportation experts to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of patients to medical facilities and respond to urgent scene calls. Our focus on safety and effective patient care makes us a leader in the air ambulance industry.
Responsibilities :
Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the required time frames.
Conduct daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
Deliver advanced life support care from initial contact to the accepting medical facility, ensuring thorough documentation of patient care.
Enhance your skills through ongoing training and clinical experiences.
Keep current documentation of your licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
Maintain equipment and supplies utilized in emergency programs.
Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
Function effectively as a medical flight team member.
Participate in pre-mission briefings and debriefings, completing all necessary documentation.
Assist with pre-mission checklists and provide pilot support as needed.
Adhere to safety standards to protect yourself, medical personnel, patients, and equipment before takeoff.
Conduct aircraft safety briefings when required.
Fill open or vacant shifts within your assigned area as directed by the Regional Director.
Minimum Required Qualifications :
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in an ALS or critical care setting.
Current EMT-P license / certification in relevant states.
NREMT-P certification as required by state regulations.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required before obtaining flight status (NRP certification will be provided during New Hire Training).
Advanced Certification (FP-C) is preferred and must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
