We are seeking a Part-Time Flight Paramedic to join our dynamic team of air transportation professionals. You will play a critical role in safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as responding to scene calls. Your commitment to safety and excellent patient care is vital to our mission, as we uphold high standards for our crew and clients.
Your Responsibilities Include :
Completing and submitting electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight promptly.Conducting daily base checks, including narcotic counts.Providing advanced life support care during pre-hospital and intra-hospital transfers, ensuring thorough patient documentation is maintained throughout.Participating in ongoing training to maintain skills and knowledge.Keeping documentation of all licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures current in the Employee Education Manual.Utilizing and maintaining all emergency equipment and supplies effectively.Building positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the community.Serving as a member of the medical flight crew.Attending pre-mission briefings and debriefings, and completing all necessary paperwork.Assisting in pre-mission safety checks and supporting pilots with navigation and observations as needed.Adhering to safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, medical personnel, patients, and equipment before takeoff.Conducting aircraft safety briefings when necessary.Taking responsibility for filling open or vacant shifts in coordination with the Regional Director.Minimum Required Qualifications :
Three (3) years of experience in an Advanced Life Support (ALS) or critical care environment.Current EMT-P license / certification for the relevant states.NREMT-P certification in required states.Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP prior to flight status (NRP certification will be provided during training).Preferred Qualifications :
Previous flight experience.Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS / PEPP, ITLS / PHTLS.Other Qualifications :
Preferred Advanced Certification (FP-C) obtained within 24 months of hire.Why Choose MedTrans?
