Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our clinical laboratory. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures, FDA regulations, and laboratory information management systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory processes while maintaining compliance with industry standards. The Laboratory Supervisor will also play a key role in research development and support clinical trials.
Responsibilities
- Supervise laboratory staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality work standards.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and maintain adherence to all laboratory procedures.
- Oversee the operation of laboratory information management systems to streamline workflows and enhance data integrity.
- Analyze test results and ensure that all findings are accurately reported in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with research teams to support ongoing research development initiatives.
- Manage the daily activities of the laboratory, including scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure that safety protocols are followed within the laboratory environment to protect staff and maintain compliance with health regulations.
- Participate in clinical trials by coordinating sample collection, processing, and analysis as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and compliance requirements for laboratories.
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in laboratory procedures and techniques related to microbiology and clinical testing.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
