POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Services Supervisor is responsible for managing and developing the team of Accounts Receivable (A/R) specialists, collection of outstanding A/R dollars from Medacta customers, facilitating resolution of billing problems with corporate accounts/customer service/sales organization, resolving customer over/under payment issues, escalating collection concerns and missing purchase orders to sales and finance leadership, reporting on customer account aging, and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable (A/R) collections environment and 1 year of supervisory experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mathematical aptitude
- Intermediate level with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Physical Requirements:
- Sitting: Extended periods at a desk or workstation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Manages and develops the A/R collections team
- Provides necessary training for accounting systems related to A/R team
- Reviews and monitors open accounts for collection efforts
- Makes outbound collection calls in professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
- Facilitates resolution of customer billing problems with Corporate Accounts, Customer Service, and Sales
- Resolves aging delinquencies
- Identifies issues contributing to account delinquency and discusses them with Finance and Sales leadership
- Provides supporting documentation to customers upon request to facilitate cash collections
- Ensures A/R aging reports are updated monthly with appropriate action items documented for collection.
- Informs leadership of collection issues that may impact bad debt provisions on financial statements
- Interfaces with Medacta personnel to proactively research and resolve issues impacting A/R
- Ensures all required accounting transactions related to A/R are recorded and accurate
- Maintains the corporation's A/R files as required
- Perform other analytical support and duties as assigned
- Drives collection process improvement and efficiencies
- Prepares and maintains department procedural documentation, job aids and policies
- Ensures professional communication with internal and external customers, Medacta sales team, customers, and suppliers.
