POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting Medacta USA in financial analysis and reporting activities in various capacities including decision support, sales & financial/operational metric variance reviews, and budget/forecast planning assistance. Aids in improving profitability and decision-making process through data analytics and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree – Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics related field (required).
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a prior financial or accounting related role.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Under guidance of the Senior Financial Analyst, extends support to the MUSA CFO and MUSA Sales Executive Leadership with financial & sales analysis activities, including sales reporting/forecasts, financial planning analysis and preparation schedules to support the annual budget and quarterly forecasts process.
- Assists the CFO and sales leadership on proforma development on adhoc basis and prepares profitability analysis to provide management information vital for the decision-making process.
- Builds financial models and reporting to guide the cost/profitability analysis process with financial and sales leadership.
- Analyzes and interprets data (financial statements, sales & operational reports)– makes comparative analysis and works with leadership to propose recommended actions for financial and or operational/process improvements.
- Enhances the Business Intelligence functions of the enterprise. Coordinates with Medacta International and IT to support endeavors on improving business intelligence applications. Works to automate routine reporting needs vs. manual preparation.
- Prepares franchise sales rep and agent costing and profitability analysis reports – reviews with sales leadership to identify outlier and unfavorable trends for course correction (i.e. sales and commissions, freight, etc).
- Analyzes expense activities (i.e T&E) to identify unfavorable root cause trends for course correction. Provides monthly reports to CFO and sales general managers to ensure expenses are aligned with budget and action plans monitored for resolution.
- Coordinates with the Senior Financial Analyst and Controller on variance analysis reviews to support comment and explanation on business trends and costs impacting the financial statements. Works closely with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting reflective of the business in a growing and changing environment.
- Tracks performance on various financial and operational metrics as requested.
- Communicates with IT support personnel to enhance, modify, or add business intelligence tools to automate routine analytical reporting needs.
- Communicates effectively with financial and sales leadership on opportunities and variances for investigation and course correction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
