Overall, Purpose of The Job: As an IT Project Manager at MedAire, you will oversee and manage information technology projects within our organization. Your role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. You will coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan and budget. Additionally, you will help define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle along with key stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate and manage resources efficiently to ensure project requirements are met within budget constraints.
  • Team Coordination: Lead project teams, providing direction and support to ensure project objectives are met. Foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to all stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to address these risks.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring that financial targets are met. Report on budget performance to senior management.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards within time and budget constraints. Implement quality control measures and project performance metrics.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and change requests.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and company policies.


Required Skills and Knowledge:


  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development life cycles, network architecture, and IT infrastructure. Proficiency in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Trello.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to anticipate project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with different personalities and across various departments and cultures.


Required Competencies:


  • Must have technical understanding across multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrated effective time and cost management skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness with stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Required Work Experience:


  • 5 – 9 years of proven experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects.
  • Minimum 5 years working with SaaS, IaaS, End-user, Cloud, and Security platforms.
  • Experience working with and presenting to all levels, including C-level executives.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certifications.
  • 5 years’ experience with Agile project management methodologies.
  • 5 - 9 years’ experience in managing medium-scale IT transformation projects.
  • 5 years’ experience with cloud computing technologies and services.
  • 1-year experience with cybersecurity projects.


Required Languages:


  • English.


Travel / Rotation Requirements:


  • Occasional work outside normal business hours is required.
  • Offsite work/visits to various Phoenix office locations.
  • Must be flexible to align meeting hours for international stakeholders.
