Summary: Operates multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls, directs callers to appropriate personnel, greeting patients as they enter the practice, and inputting patient data into the EHR
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answers telephone, responds to inquiries, directs caller to appropriate personnel, and initiates triage slips for response by medical personnel.
- Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
- Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
- Registers patients by verifying that patient's record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient's chart.
- Greets and directs patients, sales people, and visitors.
- Schedules appointments and enters appointment date, time and reason for being seen into computerized scheduler updates appointment calendars.
- Takes payments for services and products. Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.

Experience:
- Medical Receptionist: 1 year
- Required work authorization:
- CNA experience preferred
Orientation-Must be willing to travel to Jamestown for training.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
