Title: HIM Manager / Release of Information (ROI) Manager

Position Overview
The Health System is seeking an experienced and engaged Release of Information (ROI) Manager to lead ROI operations across its six hospitals, with a primary focus on the main campus. This position serves as a key liaison between Health Information Management (HIM), the HIPAA Office, and the Legal Department, ensuring compliance and efficiency in the release of patient information.
This leadership role presents an opportunity to build and develop a high-performing team while driving process improvements in ROI workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee ROI Operations ensuring efficient, compliant release of patient information.
- Lead and Develop a Team of multiple full-time employees, including two ROI Leads, fostering professional growth and engagement.
- Monitor and Manage ROI Requests in a high-volume environment, including a small call center function.
- Streamline Processes to improve efficiency and compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies.
- Ensure Compliance and Collaboration by acting as a liaison between HIM, the HIPAA Office, and Legal.
Required Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience in Release of Information (ROI) and/or strong HIPAA knowledge.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing teams.
- Proficiency in Epic
- Strong understanding of ROI workflows, policies, and procedures.
- HIM Credentials (RHIT or RHIA preferred, though equivalent experience and education, such as a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, will be considered).
- Experience in a Call Center Environment, including monitoring turnaround times and managing request volumes.
