Position Summary

The Client Services Specialist RN is responsible for planning and overseeing the transition of new and existing facilities to MedBridge Development’s services. Once clients are fully established with MedBridge, the Client Services Specialist acts as a liaison between physician partners, ASC leadership, and MedBridge management. The Client Services Specialist reports to the Director of Clinical Services.

The Client Services Specialist RN will work directly with the Clients on behalf of MedBridge to streamline operations, resolve issues, improve communications, and generally ensure the relationship between the two is as beneficial as possible. They will assist with day-to-day tasks and long-term projects, provide knowledge and guidance appropriate for each client’s needs, and should be comfortable performing multiple different roles. From a clinical perspective, the Client Services Specialist RN is responsible for directing, coordinating and controlling the multi-disciplinary activities required to provide a safe environment for patients at our facilities.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assess the current state of an oncoming center and assist them in their transition to MedBridge services.
  • Act as a point of contact for surgery center leaders and physicians to address any concerns or issues.
  • Delegate incoming questions from surgery centers to the appropriate MedBridge department.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving operational problems.   
  • Serve as a liaison between onsite center staff and MedBridge management, conveying concerns, feedback, and suggestions.
  • Manage facility Operations through determining objectives, participating in policy and procedure development, and overseeing facility credentials.
  • Oversee Directors of Nursing at assigned clients by providing supervision in the direction of patient care and supervision of key personnel.
  • Report any issues and escalate to management as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Research and become an expert on ASC compliance laws in each state that MedBridge does business in.
  • Regularly check in with lead physicians at each client to determine areas that need attention.
  • Create and continually enhance internal physician partnerships to optimize business outcomes.
  • Must be able to work as RN in Pre-Op, OR Circulator, and PACU capacity as needed.
  • Provides assistance to surgeons and anesthetists occasionally as needed.
  • May be expected to lift twenty-five pounds without assistance.
  • May be required to push patients in wheelchairs or gurneys.
  • Creates a safe, therapeutic, environment in which the patient’s psychological, physiological, and physical needs are identified, anticipated and met at our facilities.
  • Must file an incident report for any unusual even that occurs to a patient or member of staff; this would include, but not limited to, falls, needle stick injuries, aspiration of gastric contents, allergic reactions and disruptive behavior by staff or patients. Also required to report any incidence or alleged incidences of abuse, harassment, or injury to self, other employees, or patients occurring at the facility or relating to the facilities.
  • May be required to get RN licensure in other states.
  • Travel between facilities in Nevada and out of state to ensure the outcomes listed above.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Maintains current Nevada RN licensure and BLS certification, ACLS, and PALS (if applicable).
  • Approximately 3 years of ASC and management experience.
  • Bachelor‘s degree, preferably in healthcare management or similar.
  • Is willing to serve as patients’ advocate during the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of surgical intervention.
  • Self-starter who can multitask and manage several relationships and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Adept at problem-solving and fostering solid working and team relationships.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in working with physicians, staff, vendors, and the broader community.
  • Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.
