Travel Nurse RN - Dialysis

Join our team as an End Stage Renal Dialysis Registered Nurse! Work in a stunning location known for its recreational beauty. This role requires providing exceptional care to dialysis patients, with shifts on Wednesday and Friday from 8 am to 3 pm.

Key Qualifications :

  • Registered Nurse graduated from an accredited nursing program (ADN with BSN preferred).
  • A minimum of 12 months of clinical nursing experience, including 6 months caring for patients on maintenance dialysis.
  • Current Colorado nursing license and valid CPR and ACLS certifications.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Deliver daily dialysis care, overseeing pre-assessment, ongoing evaluation, and post-assessment of patients.
  • Utilize advanced technical skills to monitor and adjust dialysis machinery parameters.
  • Access fistulas or shunts with precision to prevent clot formation.
  • Educate patients continuously on dialysis procedures and care.
  • Participate actively in monthly Quality meetings (QAPI) and update care plans as necessary.
  • Serve as a mentor and competency validator for dialysis technicians.
  • Conduct and document monthly patient education sessions.
  • Assist in maintaining emergency kits and ensuring all unit supplies are up to date.

    • Contract Details : This position offers a contract term of 4-6 months. Expect one weekend on call per month, plus coverage during one winter and one summer holiday. Minimum guaranteed hours are 16 per week.
