Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location : Albany, GA
Contract Duration : 17 Weeks
Shift : Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (6 : 45 PM - 6 : 45 AM)
Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor & Delivery team in Albany, GA. This role will require providing care to a diverse group of patients, ranging from routine to high-risk OB, as well as antepartum patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in the specialty and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide nursing care in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit, including assisting with births, cesarean sections, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with physicians, OB hospitalists, and neonatologists to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns using OB Trace FHM system.
- Provide patient education and support during labor and delivery.
- Participate in on-call and weekend shifts as required.
- Work with OB techs and OR techs to support delivery room activities.
- Perform intermediate fetal monitoring and assist in cesarean sections, cerclages, and tubal ligations.
- Document patient care in the Meditech EMR system.
