Pediatric Nursing - Clinical Care Coordinator - Full Time

Job Summary

The basic function of the Clinical Care Coordinator is to manage, coordinate and direct the professional staff providing patient care in accordance with State and Federal guidelines. The Clinical Care Coordinator is responsible for daily operations of nurses and managing target goals established by leadership.

Qualifications :

Is a graduate of an approved school of Nursing
Is currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas
Has training or experience in healthcare administration or at least 2 years of administrative or supervisory experience in a health care related field
Demonstrates organizational, time management and leadership abilities
Demonstrates a broad base knowledge of pediatric nursing and competent clinical skills

Responsibilities :

Responsible for effective and timely training, coordination, and supervision all Nursing Field Supervisors

Assists with coordination of continuing education in order to improve clinical practice, promote quality care, and provide staff development

Ensures that all employees reporting to this position are active in their positions and that non-productive time is eliminated

Monitors Patient Quality Improvement Surveys with necessary follow-up and completes statistical data related to replies

Monitors the Staffed Services in compliance with Physician Orders and Plans of Care and ensures the necessary steps are followed for patient compliance with scheduled visits

Reviews at least every 60 days and PRN each client’s plan of care. Provides qualified signatures PRN and ensures the client’s plan of care is delivered as written and ordered

Obtains verbal orders as needed

Ensures a reassessment of the client if needed is performed by the appropriate healthcare professional;

When there is a significant health status change in the client’s condition;

At the physician’s request; or

After hospitalization

Provides and / or ensures after-hours on-call clinical support for all clients 24 / 7
