Responsibilities
As a Medical Director at Wexford Health, your key responsibilities will include:
• Promoting and providing high-quality medical care
• Working collaboratively with our Regional Medical Director, other physicians, and healthcare professionals
• Ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care
• Maintaining utilization management and clinical practice standards
• Participating in the development of medical/clinical policies and case consultation to clinical staff
• Utilizing electronic medical record systems as applicable throughout the scope of duties and responsibilities
• Ensuring no backlogs occur for chronic care clinics and sick call by working with site providers and site manager
• Reviewing care plans for all patients returning from hospitalizations, ER runs, and off-site specialty care visits
• Providing clinical supervision to staff physicians and mid-level providers at the site level
