Medcor is looking to hire a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team at our occupational health clinic in Waterloo, IA. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.

This position will assist the Clinic Manager in daily duties including but not limited to: Preparing reports, pulling up patient history and ensuring that the patient chart is not missing any information, scheduling follow up appointments for patients, maintaining inventory and restocking supplies.
A typical day in the life of a Clinic Administrative Assistant:

Preparing and maintaining daily reports for the clinical manager

Inventory management

General office duties

Greets and directs clients and visitors

Makes appointments and referrals

Answers phone calls and email
-
Performs data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, equipment inventory, and confidential employee or departmental files

Receives, records, and distributes packages and mail

Copies, collates, and otherwise prepares reports for mailings, meetings, and other correspondence

Performs other related duties as assigned
You Must
-
Be a high school graduate
-
Have at least 1 year of clerical work experience
-
Be proficient with data entry, typing, and a good grasp of proper grammar

Be able to greet visitors, clients, and colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner

Be able to type at least 50 wpm
-
Be able to proofread
-
Have a basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing

Be able to work independently and identify and solve problems

Be able to organize and prioritize work

Have strong telephone and organizational skills
-
Have excellent computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Have experience operating printers, copiers and document scanners.

Be able to access and use the Internet and e-mail programs

Be self-motivated and can execute multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Have outstanding professional communication skills and the ability to handle a variety of personalities
