Overview
The Computer Support Specialist is to ensure the streamlined operation of the Information Technology (IT) department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The Computer Support Specialist will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities. This individual will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The Computer Support will also define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field or two (2) years of professional work experience in an IT environment and one (1) year healthcare financial and clinical systems experience.
- Project Management, Database Development, Meditech Magic, HL7, NPR IT Services Professional with great leadership and project management skills.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to computer systems, hardware, and software.
Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance to ensure systems and networks operate efficiently.
Installation: Setting up hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for users.
Training: Educating users on the proper use of hardware and software.
Documentation: Keeping records of technical issues, solutions, and system performance.
