Job Summary:
The Anatomy Lab Technician’s responsibility is to receive donors, draw serology tests, prepare anatomical specimens, part procurement of anatomical specimens, and ensure proper packaging and shipment of specimens to researchers. The Anatomy Lab Technician’s primary responsibility is to ensure labs run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The Anatomy Lab Technician will also assist physicians and researchers in setting up the lab for training courses and assisting during the courses, including receiving & preparing specimens, proper positioning & draping of the anatomical specimens, proper repackaging and shipping of specimens, and cleaning of lab and instruments.
The position is 50% cadaver lab work and 50% paperwork. A positive can-do attitude, outstanding problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and knowledge of anatomy are a must.
Essential Tasks:
- Be accountable for OSHA compliance
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 100 lbs
- Drawing of serology
- Procurement of anatomical specimens
- Preparation of shipments, tracking inventory, ensuring delivery
- Ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials
- Must be extremely flexible team player, adaptable to constant change
- Training assistance as needed
- Complete tasks using a computer
- Comfortably interact with researchers and physicians
- Occasional travel, which may include weekend time
Occasional weekend course management required
Skill and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis on Anatomy/Physiology or 3 – 5 years' verifiable work experience in a related field
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Empathetic, optimistic and customer-minded
- Strong coordination skills
- Computer savvy
- Work well with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
- Experience in Anatomy BioSkills Lab preferred

The actions and decisions of the Anatomy Lab Technician directly correlate to the company’s revenue and operations. Decisions and actions may have a substantial impact on reputation and/or customer satisfaction.
Anatomy Lab Technicians will frequently make independent decisions, and actions are guided by clearly stated standards, parameters, and processes. Anatomy Lab Technician works under a low to average level of supervision.
Compensation Package:
Salary - $22.48/hour starting ($25.72/hour after 90-day training period)
