Responsibilities
- Assist pathologists in the preparation and examination of tissue specimens.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of pathology samples.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper handling and processing of specimens.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in diagnostic procedures.
- Support early intervention strategies for children with speech therapy needs.
- Engage with students and families, providing education on pathology processes as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
- Stay current with best practices in pathology and related fields.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Experience working with children, particularly in educational or clinical settings.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and early intervention strategies.
- Understanding of pediatric health issues and speech therapy practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
