They ensure patient well-being and provide a positive environment while working with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, front office and clinical staff.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
- BLS required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
- ARRT registration required
- Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required
- Complete provider orders per state and provider regulations
- Perform accurate X-rays as ordered by the provider, practicing radiation safety precautions including ALARA
- Prepare and transmit images to the radiologist for over-read, and report over-read results to providers
- Retrieve and archive radiographic reports
- Create/Burn CDs in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform detailed and accurate data collection during clinical intake of patients, including vital signs and patient history
- Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam prep, etc.
- Complete occupational health testing, including urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, hair testing, and physicals
- Complete patient referrals and callbacks daily
- Properly document EMR and paper-based documentation for assessments and procedures
- Other basic nursing duties as assigned, including new models of care and procedures
