What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staffing Support Specialist (12 month position) position at Medfield Public Schools?
Responsibilities include;
● Support the district’s hiring process for all vacancies including teachers,
teaching assistants, directors, support staff, administrative assistants, and
coaches,substitutes
● Prepare, maintain and update job postings for vacancies within the school
district via School Spring
● Communicate, organize appropriate MMLA, FMLA, and medical leave of
absence requests for approval by the Director of Finance and Operations
and Superintendent
● Track leaves of absences
● Prepare and distribute employment letters including new hires,
resignations, retirements, non-renewals and leave of absence
● Create, maintain and distribute all stipend letters for coaches and all
extracurricular activities for teachers in the district annually
● Enter, maintain and update all new staff personnel data in appropriate date
bases
● Maintain and update longevity records and seniority lists for all employees
within the district and prepare reports as requested by the Superintendent
● Serve as a Central Office contact to research employment and compliance
with DESE for proper certification
● Organize, maintain and update a database/files for all I-9, CORI’s and
fingerprinting forms for all personnel in the district. Perform audits
● Create and maintain all employee personnel files, ensuring archiving of
terminations and retirements.
● Support the Superintendent in the absence of the Administrative Assistant
● Maintain liaison with HR professionals and organizations such as MASPA
that focus on personnel issues, recruitment, and diversity initiatives
● Course approvals/reimbursement/lane changes
● Summer School Letters
● Letters of Reasonable Assurance
● Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Director of Finance &
Operations
