What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pricing and Receiving Manager position at Medford Cooperative?
The Pricing and Receiving Manager works closely with department managers and vendor partners in an effort to ensure all pricing policies are consistently delivered to our customers. He/she is responsible for maintaining the overall price integrity within the store as well as overseeing weekly price changes for goods within the store.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet all customers with a friendly attitude and serve our customers in a friendly, efficient manner
- Assist with department schedule to ensure store needs are obtained
- Manage and train employees; including, but not limited to coaching, performance improvement, recognition, 1:1 meetings and feedback.
- Maintains and ensures accurate pricing of all store products.
- Maintains all pricing platforms
- Executes price changes, ad and display changes and promotional signage within the store.
- Communicates effectively with department managers to execute pricing and promotional programs.
- Provides customer service to guests.
- Learn pricing and financial reporting techniques
- Reports to work at the assigned/scheduled time and may be required to fill in as needed in other customer facing roles
- Performs other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Previous Supervisor, Team Lead or Mentor Level experience preferred.
- Must be patient and helpful to exceed the customer’s expectations.
- Must possess basic computer skills to operate scanners, registers, calculators, etc.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions in regard to paperwork and daily reporting.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of ten (10) pounds frequently and up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Position requires this candidate to work 40 hour per week in this full-time position.
- Schedule includes weekends and holidays, flexibility is essential.
- Smoke-free environment that will be primarily indoor work but at times may be exposed to heat/cool outdoor temperatures as well as when entering coolers.
- Fast-paced environment requiring standing up to 8 hours per day.
