Bulk Department Lead
Purpose
The Bulk Lead oversees all aspects of the Bulk Department including customer service, purchasing, vendor activity, receiving, stocking, merchandising, department conditions, and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
Receiving, Stocking and Inventory
- Purchase product.
- Maintain vendor relationships, manage new product vendors, and negotiate for favorable prices, terms and quality.
- Provide customer assistance with product information, special orders, and questions
Merchandising
- Maintain displays
- Plan attractive promotional displays and regular product demos.
- Review product movement reports and make informed product decisions.
- Ensure accurate entry of products in POS and maintain accurate department signs.
- Participate in staff meetings to plan promotions and merchandising.
Department Maintenance
- Maintain department areas and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
Qualifications
- Experience working in the natural foods or natural health retail stores
- Current knowledge of bulk food products
- Excellent communication skills.
- Customer service experience including ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, effective manner.
- Flexible schedule as required to meet store operation needs.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and share a small office space.
- Ability to consistently and safely lift & carry up to 30 lbs. Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
