Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The FNP will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in various settings, including medical offices, assisted living facilities, and outpatient clinics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and manage medication administration protocols.
- Provide care for acute conditions, including suture placement and management of infectious diseases.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and referrals as needed.
- Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management strategies.
- Perform assessments related to behavioral health issues and provide appropriate interventions.
- Manage durable medical equipment (DME) needs for patients as required.
Skills
- Proficient in managing medical records efficiently and accurately.
- Strong knowledge of acute care practices and procedures.
- Skilled in performing sutures and other minor surgical procedures.
- Experience in providing care for infectious diseases.
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) usage and management.
- Competent in medication administration techniques and protocols.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive physical examinations effectively.
- Experience working in a medical office or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of assisted living care practices is a plus.
- Understanding of behavioral health principles and interventions.
