We are looking for an energetic, self motivated and flexible medical assistant to join our team. The position is for a cross trained professional who will be working as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, and starting IV's.
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the clinic. You will support our providers through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Flexibility on the job and the ability to multitask is paramount.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records and insurance information
- Arrange or perform testing, treatments, and laboratory services
- EMR data management
- Assist during medical examinations
- Communicate results, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms with appropriate providers and staff
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Certificate in medical assistance or equivalent work experience
- Phlebotomy and IV start is a bonus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
