Product & Commercialization Manager
Join our innovative health tech startup as we collaborate with early customers to scale our product. We are seeking a Product & Commercialization Manager with extensive experience in working with early adopters and leading cross-functional teams to drive product adoption and growth. This role involves positioning our product(s) in the market, developing effective commercialization strategies, defining customer segmentation, creating repeatable sales plays, and fostering alignment among sales, marketing, technology, and product teams on high-priority initiatives. Furthermore, you will develop a comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategy tailored to various customer segments. You will work closely with end users, new customers, business development, product, sales, and implementation teams to drive adoption, refine our messaging, identify target markets, and effectively communicate value to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully bringing innovative health and med tech products to market and driving their commercial success. Travel is required to meet with early customers within the US.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Collaboration: Engage closely with early customers to ensure requirements have been met, collect feedback and ensure that their insights inform product refinement and enhance commercialization efforts.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment across sales, product, and technical teams.
- Market Positioning & Differentiation: Lead efforts to clearly define and reinforce the product’s market position, ensuring differentiation as well as aligning product features with the unique needs of each customer segments. Develop positioning statements and value propositions tailored to each segment, highlighting how the product solves their unique problems.
- Commercialization: Lead efforts to refine and execute strategies for bringing and scaling our product to market, including pricing, competitive analysis, and identifying potential revenue streams.
- Pricing Models & Testing: Test and develop innovative pricing models using customer feedback and market insights to optimize pricing and maximize ROI.
- Data Analysis: Gather and analyze data to identify patterns that differentiate customer groups based on demographics, behavior, or needs.
- Customer Segmentation: Define and refine customer, end user and buyer personas segments (e.g., based on company size, facility type, purchasing behavior) to segment and tailor marketing strategies.
- Marketing Collateral: Enhance marketing collateral that communicate product value and ROI to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Sales Enablement: Equip sales teams with tools to effectively communicate the product’s value, positioning, and ROI.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data from pricing tests, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product improvements and market strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree: In Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus.
- 5 years in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, and commercialization, with experience in health tech and both B2B and B2C SaaS products.
- Proven experience working with early adopters to gather feedback and guide product improvements.
- Cross-functional leadership experience is essential, with a track record of collaborating with sales, product, and technical teams to drive unified strategies.
- Expertise in pricing models and testing, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis.
- Must reside and be authorized to work in the U.S.
- This role is not being outsourced and we are not open to hiring short term consultants.
