POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Specialist provides support to the facility Administrator and Materials Manager with the reconciliation of vendor statements and validation of appropriate expense accruals. The AP Specialist requests vendor statements monthly and validates the accuracy against paid invoices (Bill.com) and cross references against expense accruals (ENVI). The AP specialist will work directly with vendors to reconcile balances, and provide updates monthly to ensure accurate expense projections for the monthly financial close. The AP Specialist will require expertise in Bill.com, ENVI, and must have the ability to create and manipulate reports in Excel. The position must pay attention to detail. They are responsible for keeping up to date records of the company purchases and organization account statements that will help facilitate financial reports like income statements and profit margins. The AP specialist shall report directly to the Business Office Manager and will collaborate closely with the Materials Management Coordinator and other leadership team members. This position must have an effective working relationship with other business offices, clerical and clinical employees as well as patients, families, and physicians.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School graduate or equivalent.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field a plus Previous accounts payable experience preferred
REQUIRED LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:None.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification encouraged.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Additional languages preferred.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to communicate effectively over the phone, in writing and in person. Participates in opportunities of continuing education.
