Responsibilities
- Administer injections, including vaccines and other medications, following established protocols.
- Conduct physical examinations to assess patient health and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform gastric lavage when necessary, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.
- Provide care for pediatric patients, including infants, with a focus on their unique healthcare needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athena.
- Assist in the operating room (OR) as needed, supporting surgical procedures and patient recovery.
- Lift and transfer patients safely while adhering to best practices for patient handling.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and post-care instructions.
Skills
- Proven experience administering injections in a clinical or urgent care setting.
- Familiarity with gastric lavage procedures and associated protocols.
- Strong knowledge of physical examination techniques and documentation practices.
- Experience working with children, particularly in providing infant care.
