Paratransit Van Driver

We currently have openings for a wheelchair van driver to transport the community in the local vicinity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Transport patients in a safe manner to and from destinations on time by following a transportation schedule.
• Safely and efficiently operate a van to transport passengers
• Communicate with passengers or customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring passenger safety, comfort and satisfaction
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company van at all times
• Complete necessary paperwork or documentation for each trip or delivery

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must have a clean background
• Previous experience as a van driver, shuttle driver, delivery driver, bus driver, limousine driver, or paratransit driver is preferred
• Must be willing to drive in the local vicinity and surrounding areas.
• Must be willing to able to push 100 pounds on a wheelchair.
• Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and dispatchers
• Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely arrivals
• Must be dependable and able to arrive to pickups on time.
• Must have excellent communication skills
