What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paratransit Van Driver position at Medi-Trans Group?

We currently have openings for a wheelchair van driver to transport the community in the local vicinity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Transport patients in a safe manner to and from destinations on time by following a transportation schedule.
- Safely and efficiently operate a van to transport passengers
- Communicate with passengers or customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring passenger safety, comfort and satisfaction
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company van at all times
- Complete necessary paperwork or documentation for each trip or delivery
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must have a clean background
- Previous experience as a van driver, shuttle driver, delivery driver, bus driver, limousine driver, or paratransit driver is preferred
- Must be willing to drive in the local vicinity and surrounding areas.
- Must be willing to able to push 100 pounds on a wheelchair.
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and dispatchers
- Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely arrivals
- Must be dependable and able to arrive to pickups on time.
- Must have excellent communication skills
