Job Description:
As a Cashier / Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers in our store. You will handle transactions, assist with customer inquiries, and ensure that every customer leaves with a positive experience. The ideal candidate will be friendly, patient, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, returns, and exchanges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions and operate the register.
- Ensure proper inventory management, including restocking shelves as needed.
- Assist with sales and promotions by informing customers about current offers and discounts.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and balance the register at the end of the shift.
- Resolve customer issues or escalate to a supervisor when necessary.
- Ensure the store’s appearance is tidy and organized, especially around checkout areas.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals and provide a high level of service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a register with accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer issues calmly and professionally.
