This position supports the Media Fusion contract with NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center Office of Strategic Communications, Research, Analysis and Exhibits Services. The work is to be done primarily on site, in coordination with the International Space Station science office. The selected candidate will work with imagery from science experiments to make videos that tell the story of experiment methodology and results.
- Design and create IT-based multimedia products to be integrated across a variety of multimedia platforms such as but not limited to web-based, electronic distribution, social media, live and recorded broadcasts over cable, and streaming.
- Work closely with other multi-disciplinary designers, photographers, and videographers to design and produce high- end visual, textual, and story-telling content
- Meet with stakeholders to determine the project scope
- Create digital imagery across a variety of multimedia formats such as but not limited to videography, sUAS technology, photography, photojournalism, motion graphic rending, audio/video conversion, digitization, editing, photojournalism, metadata, web/social posts, archive and perform media edits based on user feedback
- Develop and utilize skills and expertise in appropriate design packages such as Photoshop, In Design, After Effects, and the full Adobe suite as well as other software to complete and or archive final projects
- Perform videography and photography such as; portraits, photojournalism, documentation, metadata, digitization, editing, audio/video conversion
- Stay abreast of emerging technological and software developments
- Generate routine and/or ad-hoc reports for management/customers
- May directly interface with OSAC management and/or OSAC customers NASA business partners, and other NASA Centers
- Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in communications, graphic design, digital design, video, photography or other appropriate area of specialization OR two (2) years of directly related experience
- Proficient in oral and written communications, writing and editing, and problem solving
- Experienced with videography and photography; IT or business information systems
- Able to collaborate on long-term projects
- Experience working in both in- office and virtual environments with the ability to flex to varying communication styles

If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
