Summary:
MediaNews Group is seeking a Treasury Analyst to manage the reporting and management of company liquidity. This role includes daily, weekly and monthly cash activity, investment reporting, reconciliation, bank administration and general support. As a Treasury Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining internal controls surrounding the corporate treasury process, including external wire transfers and cash disbursements.
This is a fully remote role but you must be located in TX, FL, OH, MA, PA, or MN
What you will do:
- Develop, maintain and publish daily, weekly and monthly cash activity & position reports
- Compile and issue executive level reporting for company liquidity including cash and investments
- Complete bank to GL reconciliations and initiate intercompany and third party transfers as necessary
- Manage Oracle Cash Management module reconciling items daily & GL posting
- Ensure compliance with, and assist in enhancement of, internal controls surrounding cash and treasury function
- Work directly with our commercial banking partners on cash management structure and banking products and services
- Maintain proper authorization and documentation on all accounts and services
- Work directly with shared services and field controllers to assist in maintenance, set-up and implementation of treasury services
- Administration of company treasury and cash management structure, banking products, and merchant processing including maintaining account lists, opening and closing accounts and keeping authorized signatories current
- Assist with large, long-term company wide projects related to cash management structure and banking products and services
- Support monthly and fiscal year end close process, annual budget process, and annual audit process
What you will bring:
- 2 years of treasury analyst experience
- Bachelors in business administration, accounting or finance, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel skills, Experience with financial reporting software
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to set priorities accordingly to meet deadlines in remote work environment
- Self-motivated and detail oriented with customer service focus to service internal and external customers
Benefits and Compensation:
The annual salary range is $70,000-$80,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
