Position Overview :
The Department of Communication seeks graduate students as Teaching Associate (TA) applicants. Teaching Associates typically are responsible for providing classroom instruction. Eligibility is determined by successful TA eligibility, department eligibility, and adequate funding.
- TAs in Communication typically teach two sections of a lower-division General Education course (COMM 3 : Fundamentals of Public Communication) under the close supervision of the Graduate Teaching Associate Coordinator.
The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign TAs to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.

Fall 2024 : August 19, 2024 - December 23, 2024
Spring 2025 : January 15, 2025 - May 23, 2025
Hours / Units per week : Students can work up to 20 hours per week;
