Assistant Account Executive, Beauty Media
BPCM is looking for talented candidates to join our growing NY Beauty team as an Assistant Account Executive, Beauty Media. The ideal candidate will have solid internship experience within an agency or in-house Beauty department, but we will consider other candidates with relevant experience.
Responsibilities will be (but are not limited to) :
Media RelationsManage core day-to-day media relations alongside the rest of the teamAssist in securing print, online and broadcast placements for clients as directed by senior team membersStart developing relationships with junior-level editorsParticipate in strategic brainstorming sessions with the internal client teamPlan and actualize PR events alongside the team (Brand / Product Launches, Editor Meetings, Store Openings, Fashion Week etc.)Create and maintain beauty awards tracking grid and submissionsConduct research on relevant new outlets and industry trendsMailings / Products
Conduct / organize all editor mailings in conjunction with mailing houseTrack social media for posts and / or manage tracking platformsAssemble mailing recaps with key metrics and KPIsHelp with influencer outreach and sendouts in office, as neededReporting
Create / update press credit analysis in conjunction with CisionTrack and monitor secured press for your accounts and distribute to team in a timely mannerScan credits immediately and send to team and work with BPCM social media team to release to publicShare determined press results in real-timeEnsure press results are captured in weekly, monthly, yearly reportsResponsible for online tracking / digital analysis for applicable clientsWriting / Interviews
Help with press releases (writing / distribution)Help coordinate and review interviews for accuracyAssist in drafting interview responses as necessaryAdmin support
Update media and occasionally influencer list with contact moves and send on a monthly basisWeekly press coverage updates, where applicable (to be sent weekly on Fridays)UPS / Messengering products, ensure accuracy in coding and client billing as well as presentationPlace product orders and help Beauty Logistics Manager as needed to manage storage closetEditor birthday gifts and list compilationEditor giftingOrdering supplies such as bags, tissue paper, folders, etc.Client and spokespeople travel needsAssist with scheduling external and internal callsSupport team with additional scheduling or organizational needsRequirements
Desired Skills & Experience :
Previous experience in an internship within an agency or in-house Beauty department, or in a related field such as general communications, marketing, or journalismA true interest in beauty and the beauty industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationshipsProblem-solving and solution-oriented with a proactive attitudeProficient computer skills i.e., Power Point, Excel and Word (to intermediate level)Basic knowledge of Muck Rack and openness to learn other industry tracking toolsBenefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $40,000 - $43,000 annually.
Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. Whether a prospective employee will be paid within the compensation range listed above will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations, and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
