The Department of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is a leader in pediatric research, dedicated to advancing healthcare through groundbreaking studies across several clinical divisions. We are seeking to expand our team by recruiting Assistant and Associate Research Professors (tenure track) in the areas of communication sciences, hearing, speech, language, and / or reading literacy. These positions will join our Division of Patient Services Research, part of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics.
Our research team, funded by the NIH and leading foundations, is involved in a wide range of projects, including newborn hearing diagnostics, auditory processing and listening difficulties, ototoxicity, neurophysiological measures (such as auditory brainstem response), cochlear implant evaluation, ultrasound treatments for speech sound disorders, and voice outcomes following airway reconstruction. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary group of pediatric scientists contributing to cutting-edge research that directly impacts patient care.
Key Responsibilities : This role involves collaborating with an established team of pediatric scientists, leading innovative research, securing grant funding, disseminating research findings, and mentoring students. Qualifications
Required Assistant Professor
- PhD degree or equivalent in related discipline of Communication Sciences, Audiology, Speech Language Pathology or related field.
- Experience in health research and team science.
- Analytical (quantitative / qualitative) skills in related field.
- Experience with disseminating research findings through conference presentations and / or peer-reviewed publications.
