At AYS we pride ourselves on a demonstrated ability to successfully compete with the technical and managerial breadth of larger organizations, while providing the personal service of a small business.What youll be doingWe are looking for a technically literate, professionally curious CAD Design Technician to help us with the large volume of work we have on an ongoing basis. Youll report directly to our CAD Manager, and have the opportunity to learn firsthand from their expertise. Specifically, some of your duties will include : Use CAD / BIM software to create and update architectural backgrounds to be used in MEP design drawings, set up project working files to AYS standards, providing technical support with working files, and exporting files for clients as needed.Review initial project information and communicate with external stakeholders to obtain additional requirements as neededSaving and organizing various types of incoming electronic files for various types of projects.Maintain a clear organization for all electronic files related to projectsWork closely with the design team to ensure projects remain on schedule and adequate time is available for all deliverablesSet up new projects with the AYS system, performing QA / QC functions as required for all stepsAssist with printing dutiesWhat you know : Strong knowledge of AutoCad and RevitHow to communicate effectively with people at all levelsFundamentals of Cad design in a construction environmentThe basic workflows of a construction projectWho you are : Qualified CAD Design Technician, possibly having just completed your qualificationsCurious and always learningProfessional in communication and presentationHighly detail orientated with a value for accuracy over speedEager to work onsite with a dynamic team of professionalsBonus points : Knowledge of the Central Texas construction communityGreat sense of humor and excitement about working with a small teamWhat we offer in return : This is a full-time, hourly position with an expected base pay of
