General Summary : This position assists the Designer and Design Director in the day-to day operations of the design department.Major Responsibilities :
- Create swatch books for all fabrics, trim, used in design
- Maintain an up-to-date picture record of all samples and also an up-to-date file of all names and style numbers
- Check in all orders received and handle all shipping
- Keep all sample rooms organized
- Track all sample orders, and ad samples
- Collaborate in sketching and detailing
- Collaborate in designing the product line
- Create line sheets
- Preparation of correspondences, spreadsheets, and forms
- Communicate with vendors
- Assists in the confirmation process
- Assists in brand direction and trend forecasting
- Domestic and International travel
- Special projects as needed

- Majority of decisions are made utilizing established policies and procedures, and concern self and / or work responsibilities only
