Job Description
Position Overview : The Fire Alarm or Sprinkler Designer will be responsible for designing fire alarm and / or sprinkler systems for commercial buildings. This role requires a highly detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with design software and a solid knowledge of industry codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop detailed fire alarm and sprinkler system designs for commercial projects.
- Create accurate and code-compliant design drawings and specifications.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for design development.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
- Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare material and equipment specifications and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with installation teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases.
- Maintain thorough documentation of designs and revisions.
