Position Summary
The student assistant helps support various departmental operations. Duties include but are not limited to assisting visitors by directing them to appropriate resources, compiling data for departmental projects, providing support for programs and events, and performing technical and / or administrative duties.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be mature, responsible, organized and be able to pay attention to details.
- Work independently to find resources necessary to complete given tasks.
- Be able to handle confidential matters and conduct him / herself in a professional manner.
- Problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans.
- Ability to schedule activities, collect data and when needed use program-related equipment.
- The ability to plan / prioritize organize and accomplish assigned duties.
