Summary : Under the general supervision of the fluoroscopy operator, assists with a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures, which encompass the vascular, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, interventional radiology, and neuroscience service lines. The patient population shall range from infancy through geriatric. Provides a safe and supporting care environment for those patients undergoing procedures involving the use of fluoroscopy. Functions in a multipurpose role depending on the needs of the individual patient and operator, in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures and in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications : Required :
- High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Possess a valid Radiographer License for the State of Ohio.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtains within 1 year of hire.
- Possess a BLS Certification from the AHA or obtains within the standard probationary period.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work on-call hours on a rotating basis to meet the needs of the department.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
