WJCL, the ABC affiliate in Savannah, Georgia is looking for a Broadcast IT Specialist to join our team. You will help oversee the IT operations at our station and work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. The IT Specialist is a member of the Broadcast Technology Team performing maintenance on computers, virtual systems, network infrastructure, printers, providing user support, and supporting the broadcast technology infrastructure of the station. This role reports to the Engineering Director.
Responsibilities
- Support user needs across all departments, including News, Creative Services, Sales, and Administration
- Maintain imaging machines, updating firmware, and managing hardware inventory
- Perform systems upgrades and new platform deployments
- Provide technical guidance to end-users and mobile device support
- Maintain LAN / IT infrastructure, installation, and support of network hardware and software
- Occasional travel to news bureau, transmitter, and other remote equipment locations
- Analyze and implement corporate data back-up, disaster recovery and security procedures
- Work closely with technology management and team to identify needs and solve problems
