Responsibilities :
- Overseeing all aspects of the audit process for record label and music publisher audits
- Overseeing planning and fieldwork procedures
- Designing audit programs tailored specifically to individual client needs
- Reviewing, summarizing and interpreting financial provisions in complex music industry agreements
- Preparing databases and analyzing large datasets using Excel and / or Access / SQL
- Analyzing calculations presented on royalty statements for compliance with financial terms in the relevant agreements
- Identifying potential issue areas and calculating / quantifying understated royalties as per agreement terms
- Training, supervising and reviewing staff test work
- Communicating effectively with auditees, clients and other third parties
- Preparing written audit report complete with supporting schedules and claim calculations
- Conducting audit settlements
- Preparing audit budgets and conducting practice development
