Practice Group Marketing Manager - Digital HealthCooley is seeking a Practice Group Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team.Position summary :
The Practice Group Marketing Manager leads the marketing and client development activities for assigned practice group(s) within the Business departments, under the supervision of the Senior Practice Group Marketing Manager / Associate Director / Director of Marketing (Business).The primary goal is drive revenue for the firm through brand building and cultivating client development as a thought leader in the design, implementation, and execution of campaigns, initiatives, and programs focused on client retention, growth, and new business opportunities.In this role, the Practice Group Marketing Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned practice groups, collaborating with practice group leaders and partners in devising marketing and client development programs in a manner consistent with the firm's overall strategy.Work is defined by the strategies and goals of the Business department. Work is reviewed at milestones, or at completion. Assignments are broad in nature requiring originality and ingenuity. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following : Position responsibilities : Strategic planning and leadership : In conjunction with the Senior Practice Group Marketing Manager / Associate Director / Director of Marketing Business, department and practice group leaders, develop and execute marketing and business development plans for assigned practice group(s) / industries / verticals, and individual partners within those groupsAct as a thought leader to practice group leadership and partners on marketing best practices to build brand, aid client development, and cultivate new business opportunitiesCollaborate within and across marketing department, practice groups, and interested stakeholders on practice-specific strategies / tactics, initiatives, projects, and client development opportunitiesOwnership of marketing budget for assigned practice group(s), providing guidance and strategy in deployment to maximize brand and client development opportunitiesSupport lateral partner integration as the marketing liaison for all related marketing needs to accelerate onboarding and integration into the firmImplement service excellence standard in the communications, interactions, and delivery of marketing support to the firmPractice Group marketing responsibilitiesOwnership of all aspects of Business department marketing activities for assigned practice group(s)Collaborate with Senior Practice Group Manager / Associate Director / Director of Marketing on creation of annual budget and marketing plan in conjunction with Practice Group Leader(s) and manage both to achieve goals within budgetary guidelinesLead assigned marketing staff to execute marketing plan priorities, projects, events, and respond to ad hoc requestsDevelop leading marketing materials including qualifications, pitch deck, matter and experience lists, website content, and related materialsOversee the execution of winning responses to formal RFP / RFIs in conjunction with firm's Pitch & Proposal teamExecute firm sponsored and industry participation events, sponsorships, client dinners, and related activitiesLead, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders, the strategy development and team members driving the execution of directory and awards submissionsManage the development and execution of thought leadership in conjunction with marketing plan, including speaking engagements, webinars, blogs, whitepapers, and moreCollaborate with Communications in developing brand and marketing campaigns on identified topics, services, and offerings and response to requests for PR / Media requestsProvide leadership, guidance and mentoring to attorneys and staff through effective communication ensuring a well-informed and highly motivated team effortAct as an expert in and advocate for the use of the firm technologies, i.e., CRM, experience management databases, and firm proprietary databases, to support and advance client and business development opportunitiesProvide day-to-day supervision and mentorship of direct reports, ensure compliance with all firm and department policies; and support business professional development and continued educational opportunitiesParticipate in hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, performance management and other employee lifecycle eventsOther duties as assigned or requiredSkills and experience : Required : Ability to work extended and / or weekend hours, as requiredAbility to travel, as required5 years of marketing and / or sales experience, preferably in a professional services organization, with proven ability to manage, coach and motivateProficient in the use of the CRM toolPreferred : Bachelor's DegreeAdvanced degree preferred in a related field and significant prior experience in sales and marketing organizations. EOE.The expected annual pay range for this position with a full-time schedule is $125,000 - $190,000.
