Roblox is looking for a Sr Audio Visual Engineer. This role will be a part of the Client Service team within Corporate Engineering. As a member of the team, you'll be responsible for planning, managing company AV applications and tools. This includes partnering with teams (Ex. Events, Facilities, Executive Business Partners) to assist with all small to large scale AV events. You will ensure that AV technology architecture and governance are in consideration of strategic plans, our goals, and our mission for self service and efficiency.
This role is full-time onsite (5 days / week) and is a great opportunity to join a scaling team to help build our Audiovisual function at Roblox!You will :
Design and implement AV solutions :
Plan and execute AV setups for a variety of events, including meetings, conferences, presentations, and live streams.Provide exceptional technical support :
Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues onsite, offering timely and effective solutions to ensure smooth operations.Manage AV infrastructure :
Maintain and optimize AV equipment, systems, and software, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning optimally.Collaborate with cross-functional teams :
Partner with Events, Facilities, IT, and other teams to deliver seamless AV experiences.Champion self-service AV :
Develop and implement strategies to empower Roblox employees to utilize AV tools and resources effectively.Stay ahead of the curve :
Research and recommend new AV technologies and trends to enhance Roblox's capabilities.You have : Proven Expertise :
4 years of experience in a similar AV support role, demonstrating a strong understanding of AV principles and best practices.Technical Proficiency :
Hands-on experience with a wide range of AV equipment, including digital audio consoles, cameras, microphones, projectors, and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp).Video Conferencing Mastery :
Advanced knowledge of video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams) and the ability to troubleshoot related issues effectively.Strong Troubleshooting Skills :
A curiosity about identifying and resolving technical issues, with a proactive and problem-solving approach.Excellent Communication :
The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.Customer Service Focus :
A commitment to providing outstanding service and support, ensuring a positive user experience.Bonus : Relevant Certifications :
CTS or other industry-recognized AV certifications.Audio Processing Skills :
Proficiency with audio DSP configuration tools (Shure, BiAmp, QSC).Live Event Experience :

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
