Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Visual Analytics Developer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Insurance clients in Hartford, CT or Sunrise, FL .Responsibilities : Collaborates and works closely with stakeholders, product owner, and development team to design, develop, deploy, and support MicroStrategy delivery and portal implementations.Extract and manipulate data from various databases in Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server for use in MicroStrategy dashboards & reports.Participate in business discussions to support customer analysis performing analytical data discovery to provide value-added insight.Maintain and apply MicroStrategy security model to ensure that information is both available to our strategic customers and protected from unauthorized users.Prototype dashboard & report proof-of-concepts as well as providing frequent business demos as needed for customer feedback & requirements elicitation.Collaborates within Agile teams to support reporting & analyticsNatural curiosity with a strong desire to learn, maintain, and apply knowledge of emerging Visual Analytic technologies, tools, methodology, and best practicesStrong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsExcellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills with ability to effectively communicate with senior management. Knowledge of effective communication strategies and how to impact and influence others.Required Skills : 3 years MicroStrategy dashboard development experience.Experience required in at least two of the following platforms : Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Snowflake.Self-motivated, strong sense of ownership / accountability, and results oriented with the ability to manage time and schedules effectivelyPreferred Skills : MicroStrategy certification preferred.Data warehouse knowledge in financial / insurance domain preferredGB insurance industry experience a plusSGA is a technology and resource solutions provider driven to stand out.
